I am so lucky to have been involved in these fabulous events for so long, I work with a great team of people at Cancer Research UK who deliver the most satisfying, uplifting event any female could ever wish to be a part of..... The event is Pink, Pink and more Pink (and that includes me) Young children in prams through to ladies with Bus Passes with Pink Leg warmers, Pink Socks, Pink Tu-Tu's, Pink T-Shirts, Pink CowGirl Hats, Pink Feather Boa's, Pink Wigs, the effort and lengths some of the participants has to be seen to be believed...

PAUL BOOTH - THE DJI MC a number of events across the North West, Yorkshire, Cheshire, Cumbria and the North East, It's my job to entertain the audience when they arrive, create one huge party atmosphere and warm up these females ahead of a '5 km FUN RUN'  which is just over 3 miles...  Then I wait on the finish line, microphone in hand giving 'high fives' welcoming al the girls back at the end of their 'Race for Life'

The hardest part of my job is I regularly have to interview Cancer sufferers and survivors on stage, alot of which are very brave young children...

Let me share some experiences of Race for Life......

- The youngest I've seen is 11 days old strapped to Mummy's chest....

PAUL BOOTH - THE DJ- The oldest I've seen is 92 years old

- In Leigh a lady did the course in a frogmans outfit, oxygen back pack 'n' all..

- In Harrogate a team of 4 ladies did the course hula hooping all the way around

- In Skipton a lady took 2 1/2 hours to finish the course on 2 walking sticks

- In Stafford, a lady the full 9 moths pregnant

- A blind lady with a Guide runner by her side..

- A lady in Oldham who's brother had passed away the night before the Race for Life

- A 12 year girl who'd raised £3000, started the Blackburn race on what would''ve been her parents wedding anniversary, but father had passed away 12 weeks to the day previous.

- In Knowsley, 46 ladies all displayed a pic of their friend who'd passed away the month previous, I interviewed the lady in the pictures niece on stage with a handbag in her hand, inside the handbag were the ashes of her auntie, the lady who'd passed away.
